The sequel of the joint Iranian Indian movie ‘Salaam Mumbai’ will be made.
The news was announced by Qorban Mohammadpour, director of ‘Salaam Mumbai’
He mentioned that the crew is currently in the process of securing all necessary production permits but the exact time of the production has not been decided yet.
Preliminary discussion sessions with Iranian and Indian actors have been held.
Mohammadpour had previously noted that the plot of the sequel will not follow the story of the first installment.
‘Salaam Mumbai’ narrates the story of Ali an Iranian exchange student from Iran who is studying medicine as a cardio resident in Mumbai.
Starring one of the most popular Iranian actors Mohammadreza Golzar and Indian actress Dia Mirza, the romantic drama was shot in India and the main language of the film is English.
